Only 2 days left until the 9th Annual Summer School on National Minorities in Border Regions will start in Berlin (01.09.19- 08.09.19).
The ECMI Summer School Team and participants are already excited.
From this Sunday on, the attendees will participate in lectures of renowned scholars and meet other experts in the field (among others Jan Rovny/ CEE and LIEPP, Sciences Po; Petra Roter/University of Ljubljana; Martin Klatt/ University of Southern Denmark; Robert Lorenz/ Sorbian Institute; Dr. Andrea Carlà/ EURAC; Juliane Wetzel (Zentrum für Antisemitismusforschung, TU Berlin) and Vello Pettai/ currently Professor of Comparative Politics at the University Tartu/ Estonia and from March 2020 the new director at the ECMI.
Apart from numerous interactive workshops and meetings with local minority stakeholders, the participants will visit selected museums/exhibitions and participate in social events.
A one-day field trip to Bautzen and a meeting with the representatives of the Sorbian minority is one of the many highlights in the upcoming week. Find the whole program here:
