Scholars, students and practitioners of European Union politics, migration studies, minority studies, sociology, international law and human rights: This book might be interesting to you!
We are proud to announce that the book “Extending Protection to Migrant Populations in Europe: Old and New Minorities” edited by two ECMI researchers, has been published a few days ago by Routledge.
This volume is co-edited by Roberta Medda-Windischer from the Institute for Minority Rights at Eurac Research, ECMI Junior Research Associate Caitlin Boulter, and ECMI Director Prof. Malloy.
By examining the feasibility of extending the scope of the protections already in place for national minorities to other categories of population such as new minorities, the publication’s focus is highly topical. The book takes a multidisciplinary perspective and combines insights from political science, law, sociology and anthropology and considers issues of diversity, security, socio-economic concerns and identity.
