ECMI issues guidebook on civil society participation

ECMI Publications - European Centre for Minority IssuesEuropean Centre for Minority Issues in Kosovo has published a guidebook on civil society participation in decision making processes. The guidebook has its focus on Kosovo.

Civil Society Participation in Decision-Making Processes is co-authored by ECMI Kosovo staff members Rebecca Darts, Adrian Zeqiri, Lars Burema, Jeta Bakija, and M. Alejandra Morena. It was first announced in ECMI Kosovo’s April Newsletter.

The guidebook provides a clear overview of the existing Civil Society Organization (CSO) participation mechanisms in Kosovo and on how to effectively use them. By offering the overview, ECMI Kosovo aims to contribute to strengthening the role of civil society organizations in public participation processes in Kosovo.

The guidebook is available in Serbian, Albanian and English on ECMI Kosovo’s website.

The guidebook is produced as part of the project Empowering Civil Society to Participate Effectively in Policy and Decision-Making Processes through Dialogue with Government Institutions, funded by the European Union Office in Kosovo and implemented by ECMI Kosovo, and the project ‘Supporting Effective Governance for Minority Communities in Kosovo’, funded by the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA).
