European Centre for Minority Issues seeks interns

Intern at ECMIEuropean Centre for Minority Issues (ECMI) seeks interns for the period of September 2013 to January 2014. The deadline for applications is 15 August.

ECMI seeks three interns to  support new research initiatives within the following areas: (a) Freedom of association with regard to minorities; (b) Management and activities of minority NGOs; (c) Consultative and representative bodies for minorities.

At this point, one intern position per research area is open. It is possible to apply for all three areas. Applicants are kindly requested to indicate in order of priority their preference for research areas.

The main task of the interns will be to assist the principal investigators of each research area.

Application Procedure

ECMI accepts applications by electronic mail only; no phone calls accepted.

A letter of application with the reference “Internship programme” should be e-mailed to: Maj-Britt Risbjerg Hansen.

The letter should be accompanied by

  • a curriculum vitae
  • names and contact details (including e-mail addresses) of three references
  • an unedited writing sample in English (an extract of maximum five pages from a research paper not edited by someone else).

Applicants are kindly asked to specify when they would be available and which area of primary interest. Incomplete applications are not taken into consideration.
